Softball Recap: Apple Springs Takes a Loss

After flying high against New Summerfield last Tuesday, Apple Springs came back down to earth. The Apple Springs Eagles lost 14-3 to the LEAD Academy Lions on Friday.

Katie Davis was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances. Brooke Brister also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Apple Springs now has a losing record of 6-7. As for LEAD Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Apple Springs will venture away from home to face off against Douglass at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. LEAD Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cushing at 5:00 p.m. on April 17th.
