Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Valley View walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Baldwin Park Braves 20-18. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on four straight.

One reason for the win was Valley View's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Daryeon Scott, Mychael Johnson, and Bronson Pulu, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Baldwin Park lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Valentino May, who threw for 186 yards and two touchdowns.

Valley View's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Baldwin Park, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-6 record.

Valley View wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 30-19 defeat against Valley Center on the 5th. Baldwin Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
