Soccer Recap: Elmwood Park Comes Up Short

If Elmwood Park was riding high fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Fenton on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Glenbard South Raiders by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. Elmwood Park were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Glenbard South apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2017.

Elmwood Park's loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1. As for Glenbard South, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3-6.

Elmwood Park has already played their next game, a 2-2 draw against Payton College Prep on the 12th. As for Glenbard South, they will head out on the road to challenge Wheaton-Warrenville South at 6:03 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheaton-Warrenville South will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Glenbard South surely won't give up without a fight.
