Softball Recap: Firebaugh Wins Going Away Against Lynwood

Firebaugh made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lynwood, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Firebaugh Falcons were the clear victor by a 17-5 margin over the Lynwood Knights on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won three games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Crystal Pulido looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in earned runs (zero).

At the plate, Alexis Galindo was a standout: she scored four runs and stole Two bases. while going 4-for-5. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Joanna Vasquez, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

The win got Firebaugh back to even at 4-4. As for Lynwood, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Firebaugh will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Warren at 3:15 p.m. As for Lynwood, they are taking a road trip to challenge Bellflower at 3:15 p.m. on March 27th.
