Soccer Game Preview: Tampa Catholic vs. Angeline Academy of Innovation

The Tampa Catholic Crusaders will square off against the Angeline Academy of Innovation Archers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tampa Catholic's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tampa Catholic fell victim to Shorecrest Prep and their airtight defense on Friday. They fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 381st, while the Chargers are ranked 40th).

Meanwhile, Angeline Academy of Innovation was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 4-1 to Bishop McLaughlin Catholic. The matchup was a close 2-1 at the break, but unfortunately for the Archers it sure didn't stay that way.

Their goal came courtesy of Esteban Lowe, who's now up to five this season.

Angeline Academy of Innovation's loss dropped their record down to 2-11-2. As for Tampa Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-2.
