Baseball Recap: Penn Hills Comes Up Short

Penn Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 9-1 to the Armstrong River Hawks. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to the River Hawks when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Penn Hills saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dontae Giddens, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. That RBI was Giddens' first of the season.

Penn Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Armstrong, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the River Hawks beat Penn Hills by a score of 20-1 on Tuesday.
