Preview: Marksville Tigers vs. Madison Jaguars
Marksville is 2-7 against Madison since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Marksville Tigers are on the road again and play against the Madison Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Marksville is ranked 81st, while Madison is ranked 65th).
Last Tuesday, Marksville was beaten by Peabody 73-36.
Meanwhile, Madison waltzed into their match Tuesday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They blew past Block 59-39. The result was nothing new for Madison, who have now won seven games by 20 points or more so far this season.
Madison's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ja'Darrian Williams led the charge by scoring 12 points. Jerrell Henderson was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Marksville's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Madison, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Marksville came up short against Madison in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 50-41. Can Marksville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
