Basketball Game Preview: Drew vs. Midtown Knights

Drew will take on the Midtown Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Drew has six straight wins, Midtown has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, Drew didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Creekside, but they still walked away with a 70-64 victory.

Juelz Scott was a one-man wrecking crew for Drew as he dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Scott a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Pressil, who posted ten points and six assists.

Meanwhile, Midtown fought the good fight in their overtime game against St. Anne-Pacelli on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 63-60. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (56), the Knights still had to take the loss.

Drew's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-11. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Midtown, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.
