Basketball Recap: Clearwater Comes Up Short

Clearwater lost against El Dorado back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Clearwater Indians fell 55-42 to the El Dorado Wildcats. The Indians just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

El Dorado's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zac Jacobs, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds. Jacobs continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Sam Greene, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards.

Clearwater's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for El Dorado, their win ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-12.

Coming up, Clearwater will head out to take on Rose Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clearwater is facing Rose Hill at the right time seeing as Rose Hill is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for El Dorado, they will host Collegiate at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
