Football Game Preview: Rogers Vikings vs. Ponaganset Chieftains + How To Watch

The Rogers Vikings will face off against the Ponaganset Chieftains at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rogers has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight losses, while Ponaganset will come in with five straight wins.

Rogers' last matchup with Moses Brown could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Vikings were beaten by the Quakers 41-7. The Vikings were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ponaganset). They really took it to Hope for the full four quarters, racking up a 47-0 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Ponaganset's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Rogers, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Rogers took a serious blow against Ponaganset when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 49-7. Thankfully for the Vikings, Trevor Lytle (who picked up 79 receiving yards and three TDs) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
