Recap: Lone Peak Knights vs. Lehi Pioneers

On Tuesday, the Lone Peak Knights faced the Lehi Pioneers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Lone Peak took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lehi. Lone Peak was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lehi apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2018.

Despite the loss, Lone Peak still got an impressive performance from Thomsen Kramer, who scored 19 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Kramer grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Chamberlain Burgess, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.

This is the second loss in a row for Lone Peak and nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for Lehi, their win was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

Lone Peak will head out on the road to take on Westlake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Westlake is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for Lehi, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pleasant Grove at 7:30 p.m. Pleasant Grove knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Lehi likes a good challenge.
