Softball Recap: Bridgeland Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Bridgeland won the last time they faced Cypress Park and things went their way on Friday too. The Bears blew past the Tigers 15-0. Considering the Bears have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Luciana Correa was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (four). Rylie Marquart was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Bridgeland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Bridgeland has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Cypress Park, they dropped their record down to 1-17 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
