Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Good Samaritan HomeSchool). They blew past the Bob Hope Eagles 30-1 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.
Kinley Fife made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Hannah Brown was incredible, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, four runs, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Meaghan Moore, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three runs.
Good Samaritan HomeSchool was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Good Samaritan HomeSchool pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
