Basketball Game Preview: Plainfield Quakers vs. Evansville Memorial Tigers

The Plainfield Quakers and the Evansville Memorial Tigers will round out the year against one another at at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Plainfield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, everything came up roses for Plainfield against Harrison as the team secured a 61-33 victory. The Quakers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.

Berkeley Williams continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 of 11 on her way to 19 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Menser, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Evansville Memorial came up short against Vincennes Lincoln last Tuesday and fell 59-49.

Evansville Memorial's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-4. As for Plainfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Plainfield came up short against Evansville Memorial when the teams last played back in January of 2015, falling 66-56. Thankfully for Plainfield, Stephanie Sherwood (who dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
