Norris hasn't had much luck against Waverly recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Titans will take on the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated after seven games, but that won't be the case come Friday.
Norris' defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Beatrice 45-0. Considering the Titans have won six matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Evan Greenfield

| 09/26/25 vs Pius X | 213 |

Norris can attribute much of their success to Evan Greenfield, who threw for 217 yards and five TDs on only 17 passes, and Markus Nelson, who rushed for 138 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. Those 217 passing yards gave Greenfield a new career-high. Chris Garner Jr. was in the mix too, providing Norris with two scores.
Norris didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kyson Gana and Chase Ehlers.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waverly). They claimed a resounding 55-13 win over Plattsmouth. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly 42 points.
Norris better focus on containing Nathan Axmann and Brockston Teply as the pair were huge in Waverly's win. Axmann gained 187 total yards and three touchdowns, while Teply threw for 248 yards and three TDs on only 17 passes. Teply is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last four games he's played.
Waverly didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Plattsmouth to a completion percentage of just 47.8%. The Vikings hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.6 or higher in five consecutive games.
Norris' record now sits at 7-0. As for Waverly, their record is now an identical 7-0.
Friday's contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Nelson and Axmann. Nelson just won't slow down this season and has run in 16 touchdowns while averaging 124 rushing yards per game. Axmann has been a dominant force too and has run in 13 touchdowns while averaging 127.3 rushing yards per game.
Norris and Waverly were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in November of 2024, but Norris came up empty-handed after a 17-16 defeat. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
