The Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils will take on the Shippensburg Greyhounds at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Greencastle-Antrim is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Greencastle-Antrim will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Monday, then bounced right back against West Perry on Tuesday. The Blue Devils blew past the Mustangs 11-1. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won four in a row.

Carter McCauley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nolan Sullivan, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That stolen base was his first of the season. Landon Myers was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Greencastle-Antrim was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Shippensburg narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Northern York 7-6. That's two games straight that the Greyhounds have won by just one run.

Greencastle-Antrim pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Shippensburg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7-1.
