Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Fern Creek

Fern Creek took a 17-run defeat the last time they faced off against Eastern, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Eagles 11-10. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Lakelyn Maloney was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Zariah St. Gerard, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.

Fern Creek's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Eastern, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-10.

Looking ahead, Fern Creek will face off against Fairdale at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Eastern, they will welcome Male at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
