Volleyball Recap: Westchester Country Day Wildcats vs. Caldwell Academy
Westchester Country Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Caldwell Academy, falling 3-0. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-21, 25-19.
Despite the loss, Westchester Country Day still got an impressive performance from Cassie Woodall, who had 12 digs and four aces.
Caldwell Academy can attribute much of their success to Stella Streng, who had seven digs and five aces. That's the most aces Streng has posted in her last seven contests.
Westchester Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Caldwell Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7.
Westchester Country Day will play host again on Friday to welcome Calvary Day School, where the match is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. As for Caldwell Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against High Point Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m.
