Basketball Recap: Jaron Ward's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hendersonville over North Henderson + How To Watch

After flying high against Asheville on Monday, Hendersonville came back down to earth. The Bearcats fell just short of the North Henderson Knights by a score of 72-70 on Tuesday. The Bearcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Hendersonville's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaron Ward, who shot 55% from the field en route to 12 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Ward is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Mateo Archer, who went 8-for-19 to rack up 20 points.

North Henderson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Titus Moore out in front who shot 71% from the field on his way to 22 points and seven rebounds. Brayden Hudson was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 13 boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hendersonville fell to 3-1. As for North Henderson, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

While Hendersonville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
