Football Recap: Smyer Bobcats vs. Iraan Braves
Smyer had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 51-8 loss at the hands of the Iraan Braves. The Bobcats just can't catch a break and have now endured ten losses in a row dating back to last season.
Tristan Griffin went supernova for Iraan, rushing for 135 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries. Prather Schneemann was another key player, rushing for 60 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Smyer will be defending their home-field for the first time this season they go up against Ralls on Friday. As for Iraan, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Compass Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Compass Academy focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday.
