Recap: Shakamak Lakers vs. Parke Heritage Wolves
After flying high against the Washington Catholic Cardinals last Saturday, the Shakamak Lakers came back down to earth. Shakamak took a serious blow against Parke Heritage on Friday, falling 88-43. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Shakamak has scored all season.
Treigh Schelsky continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Parke Heritage, scoring 31 points. Those 31 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Carter Crum, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Shakamak's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Parke Heritage, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shakamak won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against North Vermillion at 6:30 p.m. on December 16th. North Vermillion will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Parke Heritage will be home for the holidays to greet South Putnam at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Putnam will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 377th, while Parke Heritage is ranked 77th).
