Gar-Field is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Hylton.

Meanwhile, Woodbridge earned an 8-3 win over Colonial Forge on Wednesday. With that victory, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Caelan Goodwin-Slater, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That run marked the first that he scored this season. Another player making a difference was Joel Scripture, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Gar-Field's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Woodbridge, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
