Football Recap: Ansonia Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Ansonia came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 28-7 to the Woodland Regional Hawks. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Ean Pringle produced another solid effort rushing for 131 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries for Woodland Regional.

Ansonia's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Woodland Regional, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Ansonia will host Oxford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Woodland Regional, they will head out to take on Wolcott at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 11.2 points per game this season, so the Hawks' offense will have their work cut out for them.
