Norwich Free Academy found a leader in Dakota Bourdon as the team took down Darien on Wednesday. Bourdon wasn't messing around, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits (and only one walk). The pitching appearance was her fifth straight with two or fewer walks.

Bourdon's strong effort led Norwich Free Academy over Darien and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats are a perfect 3-0 against the Blue Wave going back to April of 2016, a lead they'll look to extend.
