Basketball Recap: Poplar Falls Short of Fairview in the Playoffs

Poplar and Fairview squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Poplar had to settle for second. They took a 48-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fairview Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-33 back in January.

Poplar's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Fairview, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season.

While Poplar had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
