Baseball Recap: Imlay City Takes a Loss

Imlay City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yale Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Keigan Scott made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Those doubles were his first of the season.

Imlay City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13-1. As for Yale, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Imlay City will host Laker at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Yale, they will challenge New Haven at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
