After flying high against Douglas County last Friday, Westlake came back down to earth. The Westlake Lions fell 75-66 to the East Coweta Indians on Tuesday. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Leading East Coweta to victory were Qwes Williams and Marcus Towns. Williams went 12 for 17 on his way to 30 points, while Towns dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. The game was Williams' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Harper Rife, who posted 14 points and three steals.

Westlake's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for East Coweta, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Westlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Coweta, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Newnan at 7:30 p.m. Newnan is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.3 points per game this season.
