Baseball Recap: Kouts Takes Down Morgan Township in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Kouts had no problem doing just that on Friday. They never let the Morgan Township Cherokees get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mustangs & Fillies have posted since April 19th.

Billy Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.

Kouts hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Morgan Township struck out six times.
