Baseball Preview: Warren Warriors vs. Ripley Vikings

The Warren Warriors will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Ripley Vikings at 5:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

On Wednesday, Warren sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Caldwell. The win made it back-to-back victories for Warren.

Carson Gandee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered one run (which was unearned) on six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Warren saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trent Taylor, who went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday Ripley sidestepped Ravenswood for a 7-6 win.
