Volleyball Recap: Dover Takes Down Ranked Bishop Guertin + How To Watch

Dover faced Bishop Guertin in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Green Wave skirted past the Cardinals 3-2. This was payback for the Green Wave, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Dover was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (108-105), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-21, 26-24, 20-25, 15-13.

Dover was led to victory by Jovie Meeker and Quinn Carberry. Meeker had 11 digs and three assists, while Carberry had 12 digs, nine kills, and seven aces. Carberry is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last six games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Dover was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last five matchups.

Dover is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Bishop Guertin, their loss ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-3.
