Recap: Sky View Bobcats vs. Green Canyon Wolves
The Sky View Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight defeat. They took a 76-60 bruising from Green Canyon. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (56), Sky View still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Sky View saw an underclassman step up: Macade Rolle scored 23 points. It was the first time this season that Rolle scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Liam Guthrie, who scored 14 points.
Jared Anderson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Green Canyon, scoring 24 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Layker Ward, who scored 13 points along with five assists and two steals.
Sky View has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Green Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sky View will face off against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Mountain Crest's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Bobcats have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road. As for Green Canyon, they will challenge the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Bear River is ranked 25th, while the Wolves are ranked 21st).
