It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Ridgefield had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They managed a 37-31 win over the Norwich Free Academy Wildcats. The Tigers are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 15 straight.

Norwich Free Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Petra Berry, who posted six points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Berry a new career-high in blocks (two). Emily Orcutt was another key player, putting up eight points and seven boards.

Ridgefield pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points over those games. As for Norwich Free Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 17-8.

Ridgefield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 64-49 defeat against Southington on the 7th. Norwich Free Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
