Globe hadn't done well against Safford recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 4-2. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in March, they had to take a 10-7 defeat.

Globe saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Tober, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Globe's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Safford, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Looking ahead, Globe will challenge Superior at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Safford, they will venture away from home to face off against Rio Rico at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
