Football Recap: Honey Grove Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Honey Grove couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were outmatched by the Joaquin Rams and fell 41-8. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Jarrmez Daniels threw for 49 yards on five of 21 attempts. Ryelan Morris was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards. On the ground, Mason Banker rushed for 50 yards and one score.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jacob Gatlin and Amarion Wilson. Gatlin rushed for 94 yards and one TD on only five carries while Wilson rushed for 109 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries. Gatlin also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, defending three passes and snagged an interception.

Honey Grove moved to 10-2 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak. As for Joaquin, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
