Sumter won the last time they faced Spring Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Sumter Gamecocks blew past the Spring Valley Vikings 14-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gamecocks.

The team relied heavily on Kiley Laux, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sydney Rhodes, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Sumter's win bumped their record up to 7-3-1. As for Spring Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Sumter will challenge Lugoff-Elgin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spring Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Blythewood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blythewood will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Spring Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
