Soccer Game Preview: Hughson vs. Hilmar

Hughson and Hilmar are an even 4-4-2 against one another since February of 2019, but likely not for long. The Hughson Huskies will be playing at home against the Hilmar Yellowjackets at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hughson's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Orestimba 3-0. The result kept the Huskies happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 10th.

Eddie Parks and Brandon Pantoja scored all three of Hughson's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Meanwhile, Hilmar hasn't lost a match since January 14th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They won by a goal and slipped past Orestimba 2-1.

Hilmar's victory bumped their record up to 8-5-5. As for Hughson, their win bumped their record up to 7-10-5.

Hughson came out on top in a nail-biter against Hilmar in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 2-1. Does Hughson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hilmar turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
