Basketball Recap: Elmwood-Murdock Comes Up Short

Elmwood-Murdock lost against Auburn back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Elmwood-Murdock Knights lost 62-39 to the Auburn Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 32nd).

Elmwood-Murdock's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Auburn, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Elmwood-Murdock will head out to face off against Conestoga at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Auburn, they will host Lourdes Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
