Football Recap: Morrison Takes a Loss

If Morrison was feeling good fresh off their 50-0 takedown of Quapaw last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats took a 30-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pawhuska Huskies on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 42-12 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Vann Wildcat produced another solid effort rushing for 93 yards and two touchdowns for Pawhuska.

Morrison now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Pawhuska, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Morrison will head out to take on Rejoice Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups. As for Pawhuska, they will challenge Panama at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th.
