Recap: West Noble vs. Lakeland
In their previous meeting, Lakeland delivered West Noble a punishing 49 - 21 defeat. Lakeland came out of the rematch with the result it wanted, but it took a lot more work this time around. Lakeland came out on top in a nail-biter against West Noble, sneaking past 38 - 36. Lakeland battled back from a nine disadvantage leaving the half.
With 21 points in the first half, West Noble started the game off on a good foot. That put it at a 21 - 12 advantage. In the second half, though, the defense allowed 26 points and gave up the advantage when it counted most.
West Noble's record fell to 3-4 after the loss. The win lifted Lakeland to 2-5.
The teams are out to raise these records in their next games. Lakeland will face off against Fairfield Friday at 7:00 PM. Meanwhile, West Noble will battle it out against Churubusco on Friday at 7:00 PM.
