Volleyball Recap: Desert Ridge Comes Up Short

Desert Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Queen Creek Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October.

While Desert Ridge was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-9, 25-5.

Natalie Lorenzo paced Desert Ridge's offense, picking up seven kills. Lorenzo got some help from Kylee Mccullough and her five assists.

Desert Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Queen Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 25-13 record this season.
