The Shelby Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Muskegon Catholic Central Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shelby will be strutting in after a win while Muskegon Catholic Central will be coming in after a loss.

It was a proper cat-fight when Shelby faced off against Hesperia on Friday. The Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Panthers 50-7. The Tigers have beaten the Panthers the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

Shelby got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brody Fessenden out in front who rushed for 92 yards and a pair of TDs. Fessenden also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making ten total tackles and defending one pass. Isaac Garcia made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Shelby didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Garcia, Jaylin Henderson, and Trevor Weiss picked up one apiece. Garcia got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Muskegon Catholic Central played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 39-7 defeat at the hands of Orchard View. Crusaders fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Cardinals since Friday.

Shelby now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Muskegon Catholic Central, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
