With a playoff win on the line, Grant rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 35-28 win over the Pacifica Tritons. Winning may never get old, but the Pacers sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
It was another big night for Luke Alexander, who threw for 309 yards and three touchdowns. His passing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 300 passing yards. Brandon Lambert helped Alexander out on the ground, rushing for 40 yards and one touchdown, while also catching one touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Grant's defense and their 8.5 sacks. Leading the way was Jeremiah Tuiileila with four. What's more, he also racked up 12 total tackles, the most he's had since back in August.
Despite the loss, Pacifica saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alijah Royster picked up 112 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Another signal caller making a difference was Dominic Duran, who threw for 308 yards and three touchdowns.
Grant has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.3 points per game. As for Pacifica, with the defeat, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-5.
