Football Recap: Spring Valley Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Spring Valley can now relate to. They were beaten by the Rock Hill Bearcats 47-0 on Friday. The Vikings just can't catch a break and have now endured eight losses in a row.

Dylan Redden threw for 37 yards on three of five attempts. Kavion Dawson was his top target, picking up 39 receiving yards.

Rock Hill found their leader in sophomore Devan Erby, who rushed for 59 yards and a pair of TDs, and also caught one score. Marvin Randolph also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Rock Hill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Spring Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rock Hill, they will challenge James F. Byrnes on Friday.
