Basketball Recap: Coral Academy of Science - Reno Takes a Loss

Coral Academy of Science - Reno was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the West Wendover Wolverines and fell 58-17. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Wolverines are ranked 34th).

West Wendover's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adryan Carlos, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 10 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Estaban Correa, who posted eight points and four steals.

Coral Academy of Science - Reno's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for West Wendover, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
