Baseball Recap: Cherokee's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Cherokee had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Eastern Vikings 5-4. The win was nothing new for the Chiefs as they're now sitting on four straight.

The team relied heavily on Brett Jackson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May. Steven Barbagiovanni was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Cherokee's victory bumped their record up to 25-3. As for Eastern, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 22-7.
