Olympic Heights hadn't done well against Santaluces recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Lions won by a run and slipped past the Chiefs 1-0. The Lions were shut out 5-0 the last time they took on the Chiefs, so the Lions were just returning the favor.

Olympic Heights' win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Walters, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

Olympic Heights' victory bumped their record up to 3-16. As for Santaluces, they dropped their record down to 7-17 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Olympic Heights will head out to take on Suncoast at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Santaluces, they will take on Lake Worth at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
