Football Recap: Bureau Valley Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Bureau Valley kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by the St. Bede Bruins 47-6. The Storm have struggled against the Bruins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

St. Bede's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landon Marquez, who rushed for 86 yards and two TDs on only ten carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Marquez has posted since back in September of 2024. Gino Ferrari was another key player, rushing for 39 yards and one score.

Looking ahead, Bureau Valley will welcome Annawan-Wethersfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Bede, they will head out to take on Eureka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
