After a string of three wins, Blue Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 2-0 to the Doniphan West Mustangs. The Rams were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Blue Valley was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-23.

Despite the defeat, Blue Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore McKayla Krause had 11 digs.

Blue Valley's loss dropped their record down to 13-17. As for Doniphan West, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9-3 record this season.

Doniphan West didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Washington County on the 7th. Hopefully Blue Valley paid attention to the Mustangs' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
