Basketball Preview: North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights vs. Durham Academy Cavaliers

North Raleigh Christian Academy has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Durham Academy Cavaliers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully North Raleigh Christian Academy is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Cavaliers in North Carolina (the Knights are ranked 143rd, while the Cavaliers are ranked 306th).

On Saturday, North Raleigh Christian Academy took a serious blow against the Fighting Pharaohs, falling 63-34.

Meanwhile, Durham Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against St. Mary's by a score of 60-49. Winning may never get old, but Durham Academy sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Durham Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Rashyia "Shy" Williams, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds, and Sarra Abdelbarr, who scored 27 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Abdelbarr has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Fleming Burkert, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.

North Raleigh Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Durham Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-14.

Everything went North Raleigh Christian Academy's way against the Cavaliers when the teams last played back in January as the Knights made off with a 65-40 victory. Does North Raleigh Christian Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cavaliers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
