The Rockets will challenge the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Putnam County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn lost a heartbreaker the last time they played St. Bede, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's matchup. The Rockets were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Bruins on Wednesday. The Rockets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Putnam County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over Dwight on Tuesday.

Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn moved to 9-8 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Putnam County, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.

Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn couldn't quite finish off Putnam County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
